„I met two great personalities in Vitoria – the president Fernando Oliveyra and Jose Mourinho who was making his first steps in coaching in the youth team – tells Mladenov – he fulfilled his dream to gather great players at one place. In his first year in Vittoria Mladenov is one of the top scorers with 18 goals, just 8 less than the Swedish top scorer from Benfica – Magnuson.

„I had two happy years in Setubal – continues Stoycho – I learnt a lot from my stay. I managed to win against Benfica in the championship and in the cup at the time when Sven Goran Eriksson managed the Lisbon team. I have two very interesting matches. I had just recovered from a abductors injury, and as a whole I almost had had no injuries in my career. Krasimir Balakov played for Sporting. The coach asked me to be in the group and to take part if needed. The result was 2:1 for Sporting when the referee gave a penalty for us. I had not even started stretching myself, when the coach chose me to kick it. I went into play and scored for 2:2. That was how the match ended. Definitely, my Portuguese stay is one of the best years in my life.”
